THE 2021 China National Computer Congr街視ess (CNCC), themed “Expediting Di校近gital Transformation with Computin筆厭g Empowerment,” opened a又懂t the Shenzhen World Exhibition & 海子Convention Center in Bao’an Di訊站strict on Thursday.
This year’s congres坐都s emphasizes the highly apparent conv明廠ergence of computing and various ind車可ustries, since it cov很綠ers not only academic and industrial d西多evelopments in comput器離ing, but also art, law, e匠地thics, economics and m鄉知edical treatment.
Ni Mingxuan, president of CNCC 2021 到風and the Hong Kong University of Scienc他房e and Technology (Guangzho我那u), said in his speech that 2021 is去醫 a year for humanity to learn to c讀化oexist with the COVID-19 p話新andemic.
“While new technologies, new model友劇s, new business formats技了 and new markets serve society more, 低熱we also need to think mo答服re about morality, values, ethics,睡金 law, humanities and 這作other concerns, as well as西數 science and technology i拿年nnovation and talent trainin城靜g,” Ni said.
At a congress forum, John Hopc睡新roft, Turing Award laureate and an aca鐵開demician from the Chinese Academy of好玩 Sciences (CAS), expounded his t問紅houghts on how to cultivate quality 門兒undergraduates and shared懂科 his work experience in Ch能校inese universities.
This year’s CNCC include火低s 17 lectures, three thematic for員師ums and 113 forums on cutting-e雪好dge technology, with 32 topics cov車相ering academics, technolo遠中gy, industry, education and popular sc民行ience.
Two Turing Award winners and seven ac哥去ademicians from CAS and the Chinese冷書 Academy of Engineering were invite內下d to attend the congress. Severa高快l exchange activities 嗎窗will also be held at男長 the event to encourage connecti美拿on between industry an又道d academia.
The congress is being held online 技習and offline. In addition to the ma我得in venue in Shenzhen,訊自 a subvenue was set up in東懂 Beijing and guests were invited to gi體是ve presentations and par道商ticipate online.
CNCC, known as China’s largest computi業購ng event, returned to Shenzhen af生志ter a 10-year hiatus. The con但大gress is scheduled to last until草光 Saturday.
